PA LSV without Title/Manufacturer Cert
I am looking to buy a cart for conversion to LSV use and most used carts will only come with a bill of sale and not have a title or manufacturer certificate.
Does anyone know what the law is in PA for carts in regards to titling and registering for LSV use? The PA DMV site is limited in information and conflicting at times. Thank you kindly in advance, Shannon |

I did my 2000 DS in florida . I added all the stuff it needed (Lights, blinker, seat belts ect..) then I had to bring it to a inspection and re-titling office were they inspected it and gave me a vin number and printed me out a title . |

Shannon, one thing for sure, you need to get the info from the source to ensure you don't need to do anything over/twice to get it done. I would suggest you go to one of the PS DMV offices and talk to someone in person that can give you the real answer the first time. That's what I would do.
OH AND BTW......Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives’, husbands, girlfriend’s and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy. oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

Re: PA LSV without Title/Manufacturer Cert
Thank you kindly! In PA, we have private titling services, so I will call around a bit to see if I can get an answer from them while I continue looking for my project cart.
If anyone has PA specific experience, feel free to add your experience. Excited to be here! |

Re: PA LSV without Title/Manufacturer Cert
Every state is different. GA's first law said you had to have rear lights and brakes??? They probably fixed it by now, but I think the intent was brake lights, but that ain't what the law said.
They also chose to "define" a LSV, but left it up to each and every municipality to enact enabling legislation, which is fun for me, as I can't drive out of the garage to the road without going from one county to another, then I have to pass through a city on my runs. If I want to get legal, I have to pass 3 sets of regs. |
