Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
I'm surprised you didn't get an occasional 2 flash with the accelerator issue. In 2005 it would be the standard pot box. The microswitch is open in the rest position, and the pot would start at 0 ohms and go up to 5K when fully pressed. The accelerator though wouldn't cause a 4 flash problem.

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
Am I supposed to be getting any voltage reading at the microswitch in the potbox

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
Its a five volt data line but if already four flashed might be nothing

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
Yes it showed no voltage at all when I checked it. It's just weird that after the pedal freed up the cart quit running. Should I do a test on the potbox?? If so can you tell me how to do it please

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
The switch is either open or closed. When not pressed, should be open (infinite resistance, and then go to 0 ohms or close to it when you press the pedal.
The wires coming from the pot (should be white and black) should read 0 ohms or close to it when idle, then as pressing the pedal slowly will rise to about 5000 ohms. Attached the wiring diagram here too. |

Ok I'm gonna clean it now. I was just checking a few other things. The contactor definitely clicks on when it Powers up and then clicks back out like 2 seconds later

Ok I see the black and white. Fill me in again on how to ohm this. Red and black on meter go where

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
red and black of meter go to white and black of potbox. Which color doesn't matter. On the ohms scale set for at least 20k, you should read close to 0. As you press down on the pedal it should slowly climb to just under 5000

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
Ok that is working just fine. Now what about the microswitch up here. What should it show for voltage

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
I didn't ck the microswitch yet, but if the controller is not working I believe you said I wouldn't have any voltage there. Is that correct
