4000 lb winch would be nice , but I think it will be over kill. You will never get close to using the amount of pull that is available with the 4000lb winch mounted on a cart. Unless you use blocks(pulleys) and attach to a deadman. Your cart will weight between 700 and 900 lbs and with only 2 rear brakes the winch is going to pull the cart more times than the stumps. I would check the weight of the winch also. If you mount the winch on the front the rear wheels will get lighter, thus less friction on ground to keep from sliding when winching something. |

Re: G9 project
I agree. I had a 3000lb on my Rhino and never really needed it. Most of these carts you could just about use a fishing pole and high tes.

Re: G9 project
Yeah, my uncle had a 2000 lb winch on his rihno and didn't like it(too weak). So he bought a 4000 lb winch, well his new rihno has a lot of recalls so he is selling it and asked me if i want the winch. So free is a nice buy, and he tore up his 2000 lb, lol. I dont even think this yamaha weighs 600lbs, i picked up the back of it with one hand. The name is my user id for college and no one has it, so i use it for everything.
Oh yeah i need to do the brakes, really they only work like at the last 1/2 inch before the brake pedal is all the way down. |
