1982 Yamaha G1 not charging
Hello,
I am not charging on my G1. I have replaced voltage regulator and still only about 11 volts at full speed. Can someone help me with this? Possibly generator? Or it needs new brushes. I do not know the proper way to test these things on this cart & I do not have a wiring diagram. Thanks Last edited by ratrodin; 06-26-2019 at 09:12 AM.. Reason: Forgot something. |

Cables going from your solenoids to your starter gen and from starter gen to battery are common issues on these as they are 30+ years old. The cable eds corrode which cause voltage drop. make sure to either clean, repair or replace these cables and ends. Also make sure your battery is actually good. Charge it and have a load tester put on it.

Thank you for the Info. I am out trying to test the generator & mine says A-1 & A-2 on my leads. So I don't know what one to ground?? This diagrram says D+ & D-F. Do you air anyone know what one would be the D-F?? Thanks. |

So I received a new generator, get it installed start her up and get up to full speed.
Only Charging 12.4 volts. What am I doing wrong????? Getting frustrated. |
