BBB Problems! Please Help!!

A friend of mine has a bad boy buggy classic. When you turn the key on and it’s in fwd it will go but then if you flip it to reverse it does nothing. You have to turn the key off and then back on to get it to go back fwd. any ideas what this could be?

Some of these use a big reversing solenoid, under the passenger side seat. These are open contacts which means dirt, rock or junk will get in there. Also check the wiring and condition of all connections. Sounds to me that the reversing contractor has failed, I have gotten them off the internet before i think for less than $200 For both, however CARTS UNLIMITED one of our great BGW site sponsor may have what you need.
