Can anyone tell me why a clutch for a 87 cc gas will work on my 91 cc gas.

Nivel lists 2 seperate clutches...#1012287 for 1984-87 an #1014449 for 1988-91 All you can do is try?

Thanks scottyb thats what il do if the one he has 4 sale is cheap enough..

Not sure but the difference may involve the motor change from flathead to the OHV 290 ?
