Indeed. Very generic appearance.

Are thieves supposed to have a certain “look”?
The most successful thief in modern history scammed Billions out of people before he was caught. He wore a suit and tie every day.

It doesn’t make it any less acceptable, im sure golf cart will certainly get what’s coming to him. Just making a point that all people are capable of breaking the law for their various reasons, regardless of their appearance.
It doesn’t mean we should automatically condemn someone for “looking” like a thief, or grant someone pardon solely based on their lack of “thief like” appearance.

Now that guy in the black boggan cap, now HE LOOKS like a thief ! I'd pull the key out of my cart if he was hanging around it.

Point taken and understood Fairtax. There is a distinct difference between White collar crimes and Blue collar crimes.

But like you say, a criminal is a criminal, period!

I bet that guy stole 3X as many carts as they suspect him of.

He's still going to get away with it. This is why these criminals do this stuff.. Crime doesn't just pay, it pays well.

I bet he does less than a year in jail.
