Zone Spark NEV-48EX
Hi all.. Jumped on the bandwagon and ordered my first cart (aka LSV) on Dec 17th. Titlework came couple days later and went over to DMV and got tags and insurance.
I am not one to leave a toy alone so even before its delivered I am thinking about what I can do to make it faster. I have seen some 11-19hp motors on ebay, do you think they make a direct replacement for the 5hp one it comes with? tks.. Evan |

Re: Zone Spark NEV-48EX
Congrats on the new cart.
I doubt that you will find anything on eBay that will fit your cart except things like tires and seat covers. These are Chinese built carts and the only parts, service and warranty that will be available for a long time will be through your dealer. Familiarity and popularity dictates that this is mostly an EZGO, ClubCar, Yamaha group. There is very little knowledge base here that will be able to help. There are some new groups under Electric carts ie: Tomberlin etc that may have more experience in the Star carts. |

From your license plate, doesn't look like there is too many LSVs in Maryland.

Re: Zone Spark NEV-48EX
Talked to my accountant yesterday, he said he had no less than 6 poeple ask him about the "free electric car" so it looks like I may not be the only one in town with one...

Re: Zone Spark NEV-48EX
Maryland is too far north to enjoy that LSV all year. But it's free, so for part of the year it's worth it. I's be willing to bet that we could swap motors, contactors and switches with about anything else. For the price I should have picked one up and stripped the entire harness/controller and installed my own. Would have been a fun toy, until the frame breaks in a year and then it becomes a lawn ornament.
