lifted gas club car

I was just wondering. I am in the process of lifting my 2001 gas club car. I noticed that when I put the 6 inch lift on it the engine is tilted up at the front quite a bit. Does this hurt the engine? Are there any problems I will have? Thanks for any response.

6 inches is about the max lift without compensating for engine angle. You will need to remark your dipstick. Most do an oil change and remark the stick at the new full level.

The lockman1 made a nice 2 or 3 inch drop bracket for his easy enough. I saw some pics of it in a similar thread recently.....

What is the proper amount of oil in a cart with a 6 inch lift on it? Is it a quart and a half?

Ok thanks. I got the lift on today and put on 22-11-10 tires. It looks great. I have to hop to get in now. I think I need to do a bit of adjusting on the front end. It seems a bit squirly when driving. Like pulling each direction. The kit I bought has lower struts for camber adjustment as well as the tierod adjustment for the toe in. The instructions said to set it 1/8" in on the toe in. What is the best way to do this?? Im not sure if I did it right. Thanks in advance.

ok here is a couple pics of the front.

if your cart uses the stock steerins arms, loosen the jam nuts on the arm that connects the 2 wheels, the one in the very back. jack up your cart so you can spin the wheels. use a light color of paint and pant a stripe as close to the center as paosssible. then with it still wet, as close to the center of the wheel in the stripe area, use a knife or a flat tip screwdriver to scribe a line in the paint while spinning the tire. it ake a little vinace to get it, but it will sgribe the line in it. the measure at the center of the tire(half way up) on both the front and back. you want the front to be 1/8 SMALLER then the back measure ment. you will need a buddy or helper to help you do this. ifyou need to adjust turn the tie rod shaft till yo are there. once your done lock the jam nuts down. you can be between 1/16th and 1/8 and youu will be fine. it sounds complicated but its works.

oh if you are worried about the paint on your tire, use cheap paint, it will wear off pretty quickly. or paint it black and it will disapear!
