1998 Club Car Gas Rear End Oil questions
My brother has a 1998 club car gas. He is trying to change the rear end lube and we have read the bi yearly maintenance thread. but it has left us a little confused.
We see the drain plugs at 6 and 9 o'clock. Drained the oil via the 6 o'clock and got about 1 quart out. To fill it do we put the 6 o'clock plug back in and remove the 9 o'clock and fill to that level? Thanks |

Re: 1998 Club Car Gas Rear End Oil questions
agree with scotty. i have 85 140 syn in mine. no issues. if you have the 98 you only have one fill plug on the right side. the 97 was the convertion year when they went to the unitized axle. 97 and prior had a trans and a axle case. easy well to tell is look at the trans shifter, its the large plastic arm attached to a heavy cable. if its on top and in the center you have the unitized axle. if its on the right side and on its side its the trans axle set up. you will use around 1 qt on a drain and fill with the unitized axle.
