1985 EZGO 2 cycle carb question
Is the needle valve on the side of the carb for adjusting high speed or low speed?

Re: 1985 EZGO 2 cycle carb question
That is the low speed bypass screw. Undo the lock nut and wind the screw fully in. Now wind it out 1 1/2 turns, tighten the locknut and go for a drive. Undo the locknut and wind it out half a turn, tighten he lock nut and test again. Repeat until you are happy.

Re: 1985 EZGO 2 cycle carb question
We are talking about the same part although it should be held in with a lock nut. I guess someone has lost the nut and come up with the spring idea. If it work, it works but once I had the setting right I might be tempted to use a drop of Loctite or similar.
Dave BTW nice filter I keep promising myself to do the same with a K&N which should improve the air flow. |

Re: 1985 EZGO 2 cycle carb question
we run tillitson carbs in quarter midget racing. we use them on what is called a deco engine. all of them use springs. although those carbs use a needle for both high and low speeds settings.makes me wonder if i could use one of those on my cart..hmmmmmmmmmmm
