DPI 48 volt charger tripping house breaker
Hello, have a 2007 yamaha cart with DPI 48 volt battery charger, model 48014-04 that isn't working. After plugging in to front porch outlet then into cart the charger makes loud noise, no lights come on and then the breaker for the front porch outlets trips (maybe about 30 sec after being plugged in) and there is a burning smell from the charger. Taking off the cover I've found the burning smell seems to be from the board in the charger. And I don't see any burnt wires.
With this info I'm guessing I need to replace the board but is there any way to test it to be sure that is the problem? And if it is the board can you recommend where it would be best to purchase one? Thanks for any advise you can give! |
