Re: 212 rebuild begins!
I got the front and rear lift all mocked up and tacked together. Fixing to flip it over and add metal and make it sturdy. I will have pictures posted tomorrow.

Good luck with it!
I just picked up a melex limo that I plan on doing a similar build with. Thank you for all the pictures! |

Re: 212 rebuild begins!
Cool man. Ive got a melex 212 in a similar state. I wanted to do and "A" frame rear end, but I may scratch it, and follow your lead. Is there any way to take a few clearer shots of the front end?
Thanks for the thread |

Re: 212 rebuild begins!
Alright, I got the conversion kit from ScottyB and I am working on modifying it to work on this thing. I am enjoying this learning experience. Nothing on this cart is "bolt on". All of it is "one off". I am having to modify everything. It is nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel though.

Re: 212 rebuild begins!
Yeah, its a trip. At least you know its going to be one of a kind. I dont know about yours, but I had to drill a bunch of the rusted screws and such. Are you going to replace yours with bolts or rivets?
