2011 yamaha will not move after winter storage
I have a friend that put his golf cart up for the winter season. It was working fine when he drove it into the garage.I know very little about this cart. Now, I checked the voltage 46.8. I know that's low,but something should work. The solenoid clicked about 4 times after I turned the run tow switch on and off, then nothing.I plug the charger in and the green light came on and then went off,did this every time I plug it in. It has head lights and they will not work, and the back up buzzer will not work. Lots of words and not much said, but any kind of direction will help.
Thanks for all the help. Sonny |

Re: 2011 yamaha will not move after winter storage
the backup buzzer is controlled by the controller. remove the rear access panel to access the controler and solenoid. put the cart in tow mode. unplug teh controller for about 10 minutes. plug it back in. see what happens. i have seen the controller go to "sleep" and not wake up unless they are unplugged.
if still nothing, take it to a shop. it should be under warranty. if not under warranty, you prob need a controller. yamaha drive's eat controllers. I sold 2 drive's to a rental company. loaded them up and took them to their shop until they could delivery them. 2 days later, neither would move, nothing, no rev buzzer, nothing. Both controller died. repalced controller in each cart and they have been running ever since. |

Re: 2011 Yamaha will not move after winter storage
Just a little information on the Yamaha. I talked with a rep. from the factory and was told the problem was in the batteries, they needed to be charged. Had my doubts but tried charging them one at a time and sure enough it worked.
Cart charging and running fine. I hate smart people. LOL Sonny |
