yamaha g16 controller light question
Have a 1998 yamaha g16 with stock controller. When throttle is pressed it blinks green than solid yellow / orange light on controller. The solenoid click open only sometimes... motor believe is good, because it runs some of the time. I know solid yellow or red light is an indicator for something not going right.
Is it a throttle issue? Controller issue? Solenoid issue? Thanks, Jason |

I never seen I light on a stock oem Yamaha controller .

Interesting may be it is not stock will look at it closer.... any ideas on yellow orange solid light?

Ok looks like controller is ok... what is happening is the solenoid will not click on when pedal depressed. So we jumped the two large post on the solenoid and we have power. So of course our first thought is solenoid is bad. But, when jumped it runs at idle without pedal depressed (and accelerates like normal when depressed)... so leads us to believe the problem is before the solenoid....
Any advice would be great. |

Check the stop switch. It engauges the solenoid when you push down on the gas pedal. It sound like it not working.
