I've been reading also. I know in the past I have struggled getting responses also. Might check to see if Scottyb has been online, maybe send him a PM.

Re: controller replacement advice needed
Here is the update du jour:
Since I have some readers I suppose I should make it more entertaining by adding some pictures. Attached are before and after photos of the motor before cleaning. The springs are all working now so there is good contact between the brushes and the newly-cleaned copper. ..... Insert Drum roll here ..... Ta da! The motor now runs! I haven't driven the cart yet, so all I can say is that while the cart is still on blocks the hubs will spin forward and reverse as expected depending on the position of the F/R switch. I'm thinking that the motor might run better than when I first bought the cart because I'm hoping that the slight occasional jerking was due to some of the corrosion in the motor. The most difficult part of the project was getting the 3rd and final bolt re-installed. The differential makes it very difficult to insert the bolt. After about a hour of some very colorful language I went and got my 15 year old daughter to do it. Her hands are much smaller than mine and even for her it was a 10 minute exercise. TJ |

Re: controller replacement advice needed
Did you just clean it up with sandpaper? Looks like there were some grooves in it before.

Re: controller replacement advice needed
I have a 2008 Yamaha drive and thought I was having controller problems, turned out to be the batteries. Was an expensive lesson. but on the plus side I have an extra controller now. Interested in the results you get also
