trouble shooting help G16
Have a 97 G16 36v suffering from owner installed batteries,my problem is I have no tech info on Yamaha.Down loaded the wiring diagram and straighted out the cables, pack voltage is 37.2 and solenoid is operating on throttle. There seems to be a voltage drop at the solenoid of about 2 volts when solenoid closes, disconnect cable to the controller no drop,I have replaced the F&R switch ,it had taken a great deal of heat,I have run the motor in both directions.I'm just about sure it's the controller but have no test procedure, can't keep throwing parts at it.have checked throttle resistance, need a procedure to check controller,if anyone can help please bring it on.Thanx in advance Dave
