G16E Key switch function?
I've got a 99 Yam g16e and the cart will go with or without the key? I pulled the switch to see if it was connected and followed the wires back and everything is in place. Or does the key serve another purpose?

Re: G16E Key switch function?
Welcome to BGW The ignition switch really just lets battery voltage pass thru the wireharness to the accelerator stop switch. Use a volt meter on continuity between the red and brown wires, should have none with the key switch off and should have with the key switch on.

Re: G16E Key switch function?
Finally had enough time to do some more checking and found that where the wires were connected at the other end had the terminal from the wire next to it touching as well. So problem solved, thanks
