Practice

I get them lined up close by eye, then set it on the truing stand, brass-hammer it to dead-nuts. These singles are painless compared to the sled/PWC triples. I'm in the middle of taking a 650 twin Yam to 1010cc. Pin holes get welded up, redrilled farther out. Rod and piston height, cam chain, studs all have to be matched up. Re-sleeved for much bigger bore, cut, rotate & weld cam since the crank is being indexed to 90-degrees instead of 360 to smooth the vibes and power delivery.

One we de-stroked to allow bigger bore and valves for a class-limit GNCC ATV racer.

Wanna change jugs, but the pattern is different?

Scraped, scrubbed, baked, blasted, washed, and bearings installed.
(sounds like a better weekend than I've had in a long time)

Back in the day we used used to smack them on the floor then back on the truing stand, smack again and repeat. Harley's of course.

Back to the front page, with a fresh bore job and crank rebuild :) No concrete was chipped in the creation of this pictorial.

So what brand piston? I thought the re-pops were only .025 and .050.

Attack of the Metric System. I'd substituted inch.
Oversizes are .25mm and .50mm, close to US .010 and .020

My bad, the gears were not turning upstairs, that does happen sometimes.
