need charger help
i have a charger a 36 volt ezgo textron mod#20484. it looks like it used to be a timer type, but now it has a led light with a sticker from energy products cc-1292. it goes thought the cycles but is not putting out alot of amp 7. buddies charge after using mine will jump to 20 amp and work its way down after 4 hours. i am notputting out enought amps.

Does it do this all the time?....if your batts have juice the the charger will jump to 20 and then taper off where it needs to be to charge and then shut off. Your buddies carts voltage may be lower than yours so his charger will put out more amps initialy.

Roady89, I used my buddies charger after i used mine. His jumped to 20 and taperd down after 4 hours. Cart has run great all day. Tore cover off mine today, bi passed the circuit board, shorted the plug out with screwdriver.
It went to 20 amps automatically. Need some assistance on this one. |

Most likely one or more of your battery cables is not getting a good connection. Possible battery as well. Check all the connections first.

?with the board bypassed if i short the plug with a screwdriver at the 36volt plug the charger goes to 20amps. if i plug it in to the cart 7amps. pluged bud's charger into the cart 20amps. i pulled the cover off my charger shorted the 36 volt output 50amp fuse to the amp gauge this dead shorts and kicks the charger out. whats beteewn the inside of the charger and the prongs that go in to the cart??

roady89 thank you thank you thank you. its rainning here at camp i love playing with elec. in the rain after a few shocks later i found the wire out of the trans. to the amp guage to be blowing an arch back it the trans when i moved the conecter at the amp guage. i recrimped both wires, pluged it in and i read 20amps. i will up date after i run the battteries down.
