Engine repair questions for older gas Ezgo

hi

I am new to forum and have an Ezgo 1985 with Robin gas engine EC25 2PG 244cc that I use to get around my farm. It ran really great until a few months ago. Now it seems to have no power. This makes me unhappy as I really have come to depend on it.

Where would I find a real engine repair manual just for this model? I'm thinking problem maybe electrical - maybe points. I have replaced spark plug, and it is getting gas ok.

Also oiler cable is frayed, and I should replace that very soon. Where would I buy engine parts online for this model?

Tom, the site sponsors tab at the top of this page is a good place to start. Or you could do like I did and replace it with a Kohler 16 hp engine. Or a briggs, or .....whatever you have around the farm that is short enough to fit in the hole and runs good.
As far as the repair manual, there is a post at the beginning of forum in the stickies section where there are a lot of manuals posted. They are in PDF format, so you have to have Adobe Acrobat reader to view them, but you can download and print you a manual!

artrockets has a thread on here that shows a complete rebuild
of a 244cc robins.
mb523 has a thread with the wiring diagram.
