36V Solid State Conversion
Hello. I recently purchased a 1982 CC DS 36v Resistor/5 solenoid original MT320-07 motor, lifted, 22” tires. The cart itself is in great shape, and although the batteries are 3 years old, I’m getting a 40v charge. It’s a great cart, but top speed flat with me and my wife is 12mph and no better than 7mph on a 10-15% grade, with not much change by myself in the cart alone.
Soooo....I’m looking to upgrade. I’m thinking about the Alltrax SR48400 (carts unlimited C42 kit) but would like to know probable results before I commit. I understand that each cart and circumstances is different, but what is a reasonable expectation of the C42 kit on 36V? Has anyone here done this kit? |

I did upgrade to a 48 volt system though, and upgrade the motor at a later date. 48 volts on the stock 36 volt motor really woke it up. 16-18 mph at the time, just had to turn the controller down. It’s a completely new animal once you upgrade it to solid state |
