I was referring to the little mirror on teh drivers side, but I like that grab handle idea.

The road we were on is a backroad out to the coast. It has like maybe 5 houses, ok pavement, and like you said, we maybe pass 3-5 cars... maybe! We have been riding it for years. We always slow down and wave when people are outside in thier yards. Honk and wave at the kids....

Now when we ride, they see it's our group and wave first. Amazing what a little courtsey will do for ya. Better waving kids than moms calling the police. One time, one of the kids was having a birthday party outside, so when we were at the coast, I found a toy sportbike, and dropped it off to HER on the way back by. SHe was thrilled, and the parents were really nice. I let her sit on the bike and they took her pic, then I caught up to everyone else.

Neat story! So how long of a road is it? And how fast can you get going? The turns look perfact!

That mirror is one of those convex mirrors to add to a truck mirror. Cheap, but works well for this app. I put it on, drove a couple weeks with it on, didn't like the look, took it off, and imediately missed it, so put it on again!! I kinda tucked it in, so it wouldn't get knocked off by a branch!

Mike M. that looked like a great ride!! What was with Spot and not starting? Did you figure out what was wrong? That swampy looking picture was sweet! Is that were you got spot dirty?

O. Mike - Those gopro cams are sweet! I've been looking at those too. Looked like a good ride too! We had the opposite of cool riders around us coming home from the lake yesterday. These were idiots though... (group of eight riders) that half pulled out right in front of us on a not real busy 2 lane... and the other half spent the next 20 minutes passing us on double yellow blind corners just to get with the group (that were right ahead of us). We all ended up hanging out at a gas station about three minutes later, together. Sure thought about telling them what was on my mind. Decided against it. About 45 minutes down the road, there one of them sat on the side with broken bike. By himself. Its nice to see you guys are responsible riders!!

Boy, I LOVE that! Almost makes me want to put a roof on just to have that mirror! I'm thinking of some sort of detachable or fold-out bracket from the front cowl. I want to avoid having anything protruding from the main body of the cart when I have to run through the brush after a cow. I'll come up with something eventually.

I understand it's MUCH more important for a G8 to have a mirror -- you need to see what parts have fallen off and are laying beside the highway!

Jimmy, I was in mud and muddy water all weekend! You'd been proud-a-me!! Got at least 2" of mud under fenders now, to get off!! And everywhere else!!

That swamp area was fenced off for wild life, but was neat looking with the trees!

I was told by a G8'r that if it wasnt for a rear view mirror, it would be impossible to keep track of the G9's. And if it wasnt for tow straps, the trail would be littered with G9's.

What? it's what I was told!

Nice scenery O-Mike. That was a pretty good sized yew bush! It's amazing to see those old giants and try to imagine all they've been through, all that has happened since they were seedlings! OUR history in this country is very limited --- even compared to Europe. Things (buildings) we consider OLD are really young when looked at in terms of some of the structures in Europe!
So I guess that compared to that tree we aren't old at all!

It really is important to keep track of the carts that are getting ready to pass you -- so you won't be surprised by the back-wash of the wind pushing you around ... at least that is what I've been told by others.
And the tow straps are for pulling the G8s across the rough parts and obstacles they can't get over on their own -- like cross walks and other lines painted on the road surface!! G2s and G9s usually have to circle back to help 'em out.

So last weekend we stayed home and took care of five of these little guys! The mama decided to build a nest under our deck. Well, the dogs found them and started carrying them each out, one by one till my boys found them. Luckily dogs didn't hurt them, but nest was destroyed, and keeping dogs out of there was impossible. So, we drove five bunnies an hour away to a lady who rescues, rehabilitates, and releases them.
