Yeah--it's a long trip. I load the truck and trailer up each time we go down, so were emptying out the house.

MUCH MUCH quieter down there

[QUOTE=thecurti;796109]Big Mac I always keep my Bourbon in the freezer. Doesn't melt your ice so fast that way

Guess thats gonna be my next prefference since I'm drinking again!! Thanks Curti and Pres!!

You all (Jim, Curti, Dave and Calvin,) take care of you and your families tonight, and if Jim Beam enters in to the equation, then so much the better!! Just be safe!!

Here, the worst is supposed to be from about now thru out the night Over 4" of rain and the power has gone off at least 20 times today, but so far it has come back on each time. We've been lucky so far.

Just a normal rain storm here in central Va. Its been Breezy but no hard winds. It rained most all day yesterday and is suppose to rain all day today, but it has just been a cold rain, nothing severe. No the G8 Prez may be getting some of that snow that's falling to the west.
Hope all the Yankees are ok.

Gman hollar back

We got gusts of about 50, and rain too, sideways sometimes. No snow thank god. I haven't left the house yet to see, but looks like we did well riding out Sandy.

The power finally went out at 9:30--the wind was blowing hard. Were still out, but have the generator going, so we're OK. They're working on clearing a fallen tree that's across some wires not far from here, so maybe we won't be out for long. 7" so far and still raining.

Good to hear you guys made it through so far, hopefully the worst is behind you now.

We're seeing some of the after affects up here with high winds and rain but nothing compared to the east coast.

Hang in there guys, we're praying everybody comes out safe/
