2001 clubcar engine runs but clutch? won't engage
our dumpbed clubcar has battery fully charged, gas going to carb but wont go.The motor runs and we have manually shifted from reverse to forward, but it doesn't engage clutch and tighten belt.We are both disabled and need it to feed on the farm.
 It may not get enough rpms |

Is the cart actually running or is it turning over and not firing? If it is running there will be a problem in the clutch itself.

We think the problem was the carb, cleaned it out and its going now, still doesn't have the power it had before. thanks guys nice to have a place to ask ??? |

how did you clean the carb? did you take it off and tear it down and really go at it? if not it will start acting up again in a week or so.............................

yes we completely tore it down looks like we had some trash in the tank as well.

If you had trash in the carb and in the tank chances are there is some in the fuel pump as well. No prob on the help. That is why we are all here, to have fun w/ our buggies.
