Default Amp vs Stereo Head Unit - 91 club car gas

I've decided to install some sort of audio system in my 91 club car. I've read alot regarding what to install, where to install, and how to install. I've decided against the overhead mount and going to install the speakers under the seat next to the FNR switch.

I will either install a head unit in the glove box or an amp under the seat. Most likely I will only be using my ipod but would like to occasionally listen the the radio when a game is on. My question for you guys is what is better; install a head unit or get a small amp (either plugging in a handheld fm receiver or amp with integrated tuner).

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

You can get a radio with mp3 hook ups on it, then you can have both. Just use all marine stuff.

I'm in agreement with Blake. Get a head unit with MP3 hookups. I overkilled with my amp purchase. If I did it again I'm sure I could get by with a 55w unit. I just can't drive around my town with the music as loud as I can make it and feel good about my self raping everyone else's ears. The music coming from my cart travels very far.
