Default Acceleration Problem 1992 EZGO Marathon D&D Controller installed

I recently built a cart -1992 EZGO Marathon. Cart runs when hooked up but when you step on the petal the torque is very hard, almost jerky and when you depress the petal further it seems to slow down and lose torque. It is like the petal is backwards.

Could I have hooked something up wrong? Or is this a programmable controller mistake. Is my Potentiometer going bad or wired wrong? D&D programmed my 500 amp controller for me.

Thanks,
Randy
