2008 or 2008.5?

Can anyone explain why when looking for accessories for my '08 Precedent gasser it's always asked if it is a 2008 or 2008.5? Generally speaking, it's a locking dash & light kit that come into question. I'll post my serial # in a few minutes.

the steering column is different

Fits 2004-2008.5

Fits 2008.5-Up

head light kit requires different wiring harness (electric only )

Thanks for the quick reply! My serial @ is PR0836-957xxx does this make this a 2008.5?

PR = Precedent Professional - Gas

08 = 2008 model year
36 = 36th week of production

so i would say you have a 2008.5
post a photo of your dash you have now

Thanks CTD! Now I can see why they specify the year when ordering...any idea of why they'd want to know this when ordering headlight kits? Seems weird...but again, thanks for taking the time to post this fact!
