I didn't like the 22" tall "crawler" tires, so I went down a size. Now that I see them on the cart with the lift, I'm sure 23's would have fit fine.
But how do you like the performance of the 20" tires? Are you still able to get up hills without much torque/power loss?

If you started with 18" tires did you notice any difference in speed with the slightly larger tires?

Just curious because one of my big concerns with the maximum size tires is a loss of power going over hills or through the muck, etc.

I don't care how fast I get there, I just want to still be able to get there. I'll probably do a 22" tire but I am considering a 20" as well. Still collecting data and opinions.....

I haven't had the cart out yet, but I'm not worried about torque/power since I dropped in a big block. Even with high speed gears, I dont think it will be enough of a drag to notice performance loss.

On a stock cart, hill performance has suffered from the taller tires based on others input. The larger diameter tires will increase top speed, going from 18 to 23 is about a 5 mph difference.

Thanks. I have the stock engine so tire size still remains a concern.

It should do alright on 20" tires.
If you need some extra low end torque you can install a torque spring in the driven clutch and it makes a big difference climbing hills.
