? about replacing broken parts on a lift kit
Yesterday there was an accident on my Yamaha G16 Electric cart. The front right tire hit a pole, and it snapped the front passenger A Frame lift part. The tire is ok, the passenger side tie rod was snapped. The question is, is it possible just to buy the replacement for the passenger side A frame? I have seen whole kits, but I do not see individual replacement parts. Does anybody know? I am working on finding out the manufacturer of the current one. I know its not a Jake's lift, but from what I can tell its a 6" A frame lift. The closest I found to exactly what it looks like is this: http://www.candccustomsinc.com/lift-...-electric.html
thanks for any help Greg |

Re: ? about replacing broken parts on a lift kit
Ok. I looked on both the front and rear, and I could not find any kind of marking at all. The front part has about 80% of the black paint chipped off, so if it was on top of that paint, its gone now. The rear had 0 rust, but no labeling of any kind. But, it really does look like the one in the link

Re: ? about replacing broken parts on a lift kit
This is definitely not our Jake's Lift Kit, it is another imported imitation. Remember folks if it does not say Jake's it's a fake!

I know its not a Jake's lift but, if anybody knows of a place, or if this has happened to you before. Any meaningful help would be appreciated.

Re: ? about replacing broken parts on a lift kit
as jake had said, it is a knock off, there are some out there that look the same, but the tubing is not the same,
here is 2 kits that 3R list here is jakes kit https://www.3rsalesandservice.com/ca...e/JAKE6253.htm here is a knock off kit https://www.3rsalesandservice.com/ca.../0LIFT-002.htm they look the same, but there not, the jakes have thicker tubing and is much stronger and heavy in weight... cost 40 bucks more, but worth every penny, i would recommend calling jakes and get 2 new a-arms for the front and you will good to go or just replace the entire kit for a good one.. as for a new tie rod end, after market are about $25 and a real yami will be about $40.. hope this tells you what you looking to know |

Re: ? about replacing broken parts on a lift kit
Yes sir, thank you. I bought the cart used, and it already had the lift kit on it. I knew it wasn't a Jake's, and I know the quality difference between the knock off, and the real deal. I wanted to replace the lift kit eventually, just had other upgrades in mind first. I appreciate the help sir. Thanks again!

Ok. I just ordered the full Jake's lift kit for my Yamaha, how difficult is it to install these things?
