Default Need a rear flip-seat for 08 precedent. What are good models?

Want a flip-seat for the back, that opens up to a "truck bed" with some rubber on the floor.

I do not want one with the handle for old folks to hold on to coming up from the floor. The kids can hold on to the arm rests.

What brands/models are sturdy, worth the price, and easy fit and install?

FWIW--I already put heavy duty 3 or 4 leaf springs on the back, so we are cool there.

I just installed the madjax version. I like how the "bed" when flipped open is a hard plastic material versus metal.

Plastic or metal with a rubber bottom is good. Trying to keep the crap in the back from rattling or rolling around more than it needs to.

While I was visiting my grandmother in Leisure World in Seal Beach , CA back in July, being a golfing/retirement community, I got to see MANY models, and I saw one that I really liked. Solid looking, heavy rubber coated bottom, but the label had worn off so I could not see the brand.

I figured someone on here could get me good suggestions.

My favorite anti-slide material is a mat that woodworkers use for face routing wood panels. It's about 1/4 inch thick and holds the flat stock without clamping. I have a large piece for the back of my SUV that sometimes works too good (once the cooler is on it I can't push it back farther). The only time something slid on the mat was when I had too much sawdust on it, but all I had to do was hose it off to be good as new.

Any feedback from someone who has used the ones from the site sponsors?

It looks like what I am looking for. I like how I can add cupholders...

Sorry, I cant remember the brand but when I bought my 09 precident the dealer had one that would convert from rear seat to rear cargo bed/box that I really liked. It had sides and a tailgate to retain cargo unlike most of the others I have seen in the past.
I would w/o question purchase that one if I was in the market. I have a cargo bed only on mine now and it suits my needs.

I searched pages and pages of ebay, and all the cargo beds that convert to seats have like a 1" lip, no high sides or tailgates.

Sounds like a pretty good idea, though, for those of us who will use it as a cargo hold more than we will as a rear seat.

Looking around and that one on the sponsor site seems as good a most, and is actually fairly priced. Will order it tomorrow after I get a paycheck...

Keep looking until you find the one that converts to an actual cargo bed. I found a pic with a google search.
