Nothing burnt on the 16 pin. Nothing burnt on any of the connectors attached to the controller.

As You probably already know, if the cart is on Run and the controller detects movement coming from the motor speed sensor without the controller initiating it :
1) It turns the field driver on (turning the rotating armature into a generator). 2) It plugs (flywheel) the armature circuit internally and absorbs the current and heat generated by it. Depending how fast the cart was being towed, for how long and what the default max brake current is (it can be as high as the regular controller output 250amps), there was a tremendous amount of heat that was dissipated by the controller. Maybe a good time to check with site sponsors for a newer/better controller, or check the for sale section for someone that upgraded the stock controller for an inexpensive fix. |
