Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
They're still calling it Excel, even though it's a different controller. Wish they would have changed the name. It's gonna confuse people later when they start to buy them as used cars and start to upgrade them.

Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
So if it has the black controller box it's a worthless cart after the controller goes out? Can it be converted to a regen 2?

Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
I own a Regen 1 - so I sure don't think its worthless! It can be converted to a "virtual" Regen 2 I'm told - though I've never done it. If my black one went out, I would seriously consider converting.
Mine is still running on a Black controller (replaced with a re-built a number of years ago, but I can't recall how many). I've owned it for 13 years so far - and expect it to keep going (golfing). I put new batteries in it last year. Mine has been virtually bullet proof - but I have learned I'm the exception. What are/were your plans for it before we made you sad? For golf, I personally couldn't have asked for more - but I think it wouldn't have been a good "mudder" for instance. a photo of the battery compartment would be helpful. For instance, you might have a V-glide accelerator - the potentiometer version wasn't used for very long before it was changed. Also - is your battery light Red or Orange? |
