Sorry for delay. Sick kid.

A piece of tubing, the clutch bolt and a piece of flat with a hole in it, would make an improvised crank puller, to help seat the bearings in the case. It's very unlikely that one is cocked.

It really should rotate by itself, with the porkchopped heavy part seeking the lower position. If the seals are real tight, and didn't get any assembly lube, it's possible that you're OK. There are a couple of shims that go between the output web and bearings, that could be left out to free up some space. As long as the webs can't hit the case, a little end-play is better than binding on the bearings. That will overheat the balls and cause issues.

thanks again for your help with this. I did not lube crank case seals the felt like they already had some on them. and bearings came pre packed in grease crank turns freely until i torque crank case bolts to 20ft lbs. I can turn engine by hand easy after bolts are torqued but it certainly will not turn freely. I might be worrying over nothing at all.

Either take it apart, or try the puller method.
Cover shipping and I'll loan you what I used.
Pulling TOO hard, can pull the bearings through the case

If using the puller, you should not need to split the case again, and deal with removing and reapplying sealant.
