It's either a G2 or a G9. I never could tell them apart.
If you measure between the starter A1 and F2 terminals when pushing the pedal, and you have 12 volts, there is something wrong with the starter.
It could be as simple as brushes. Have you tried to carefully rotate the primary clutch by hand when pressing the pedal down?

Looks like a G2 to me...... Has a white steering shaft under the green and shine under the cowl trim.

Least from what I see!

Hope you get it figured out! But with the help of others here (More knowledgeable than me) I'm sure you will.

I would disconnect the battery, then use a wire brush to clean up the starter case to identify the terminals.

A1 goes to the battery negative post.
F2 goes to the starter solenoid.
Measure voltage at the starter.

Didn't I ask the OP to do that already? Any question deserves an awnser on BGW, But the OP must be willing to follow the tests as outlined. Good luck with your problem.

I'm not trying to steal your thunder, only suggesting that he try what you already asked him to try.

Sir, you can't steal my thunder, I have none. I try to help because I've done this for a long time and try to help when I can.
