G8 rear flip seat
My buddy just bought a real nice G8. He wants to turn it into a hunting rig and would really like a decent rear flip seat, but we are having trouble finding one for a G8. They are all over for my G2 but his body is a bit different. Anyone know of a seat for his Cart or maybe another model Yamaha that will work?

Re: G8 rear flip seat
If you can't find one specificaly for a G8, the closest would be a G14/G16/G22 and would need some modification to the seat back framework. Good luck

Re: G8 rear flip seat
Thanks for the info smallblock! Strange there isn't one out there specifically for this model cart! Wondering how close one for a G2 would be to fitting?

Re: G8 rear flip seat
I can definitely weld and that is an option if we can't find a rear seat for this thing. He's also wanting a Roof Rack, what is available there? This G8 must be an odd Duck. Other than the body it's almost identical to my G2!

Re: G8 rear flip seat
I modified a rear seat from G16 to make it fit. I had to lower the footrest a bit and extend the connection points at the driver/passenger backrest support but it works well. I had to make my own seats...old ones were rotten.
I've modified this footrest since then. I got rid of the pin connection and used longer cables. I didn't like this setup. I also wanted the footrest to flip up so I could load it in my truck and close the tailgate. I welded a receiver hitch under the rear of the cart so I could (1) tow things and (2) so there was no chance that the footrest could slip under the bumper and crush somebodies toes. |

Re: G8 rear flip seat
Sure I found them as well but I just can't justify $400 for a rear seat. That to me just seems ridiculous.

Re: G8 rear flip seat
My buddy found a bolt on kit for his G8. Not sure what it cost but I'm betting it wasn't cheap!
