AS11 or AS26 FE350 Engine Identification Guide?
Hello all!
I'm very familiar with 2008-2012 electric Club Cars having refurbished about 15 so far but I'm brand new to the world of gas powered. I recently purchased a 2008 Precedent (manufactured in 2008, week 48 ) but the previous owner told me that the engine had been severely damaged the year before and it had been replaced by another "used" motor. So I'm trying to figure out just what I have in there. Is there a simple guide to determining the year or version of a motor in these Club Cars? BTW the cart is a factory four-seater but I'm guessing that has no real value when trying to determine the motor currently occupying the engine compartment! Thank you! Scott |

Re: AS11 or AS26 FE350 Engine Identification Guide?
Hey Scott!
I never really understood, or heard of a reason for the numbers after the engine ID, except maybe that these engines were used for multiple things besides just Club Cars, (click pics to enlarge) mine is an FE350D -DS11 002 (2).JPG Now... If you really want to know "just a little more" about the engine you have, there's a tag on the rear side of the engine shroud, You'll have to either remove the fan/engine shroud, OR... remove the engine mounting bolts from the pan AND transaxle, and turn the engine "cockeyed" on the engine pan to view the label! 019 (2).JPG In most cases, it may not be worth the extra work "just to see" what model and the year it was made! Hope this helps! |

Thanks so much for the help!
The first decal that you posted looks straightforward. I'm not even sure I have a 350! Where would I look for that one? Thanks for the help in finding the second decal, I'm sure I'll be digging around in there in the next few weeks, fun to have a gasser for a change! Scott |

The first tag is (or should be) right on the face of the shroud at the fan cover, you should see it the second you lift the seat!
If not? it's been removed or fell off, or... it may not have come with one because it was used for a different application! 001 (2).JPG |

That's a FE350 so 352cc
I question if the engine was actually replaced. Engine was built March of 2007 and cart was built late 2007. Seems in line with the date codes to be the original.engine, unless they replaced it with another 2007 motor It will be a clockwise rotation motor |

And if you need a starter/generator, get an OEM unit. You can find it here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/starter-generator
anywhere else and you're likely to get a junk aftermarket unit that will fail in a few months. |
