Default E-85 Carb conversion??

Anyone know how to convert a cart carb to run e85??

Assuming that the rest of the fuel system is compatible with the corrosive nature of ethanol (golf carts are not), I would start with 15% larger jets & see where that gets you. Some additional tuning and plug reading will likely be necessary. I would at minimum replace all rubber lines.

I have a vc big block so replacing 4 ft of fuel line Wouldn't be a big deal I just thought there's more to it than jetting.....

Fuel pump has a rubber diaphragm and it might not be happy with E85. Be ready for possible trouble there also. RAY

I think he's gonna turbo it, he's gonna need that 115 octane.

I try to shy away from ethanol by using av gas. Ethanol attracts water, is corrosive and detrimental to anything made of rubber.

Well e85 is basically race fuel. I'm just looking for more speed and performance !!

Having more octane will not make more power without something to utilize it, like higher compression, or boost. Besides more octane (resistance to detonation), E-85 actually has less BTU energy than gasoline.

But it burns clean and supports us Iowa farmer's!
