Default G14a transmission

I just bought some high speed gears that were suppose to be for my G14A After finding they were not right I searched my service manuals and found that the G2 and G9 transmition look more like mine. Are the internal components interchange able?
1995 Ultima with a G14a drive train. engine and trany. Thanks guys.

The gears for the Dana axle (late G14-G22) are not compatible with the early G14 and prior axle.

You will also find the tie rods and most other parts on the 95 g14 are from the G2 yamaha type carts where the 96 G14 uses the later G16 parts. Alas most suppliers don't seem aware of this aspect on the early 95 G14. P.S. I have one.

So that is why my service manual shows a G2-G9 transaxle. I have figured that all out. It appears as though the G2-G5-G8- and G9 all have the same trans axle as the part numbers for the ring gears, counter shaft and counter gear all match. I have sent back the gears and have found a supplier for the G2-G9 high speed gears. Just have to wait for them to make another run on them. Thanks raydhd, great info, I salute you sir.

Make shure you get a new gasket. If the old one is damaged, it must be cleaned off and a new one installed for proper spacing.

Ok, I'm fairly sure I'm dealing with a stock G2 or G9 transaxle. The ring gear has 12 teeth spline and 76 out side. The counter gear has 13 teeth on the spline and 17 on out side gear. Can anyone say for sure this is stock ? Thanks again guys.

I can't confirm with total confidence. Those axles are so bullet-proof, I never have to go in there. Haven't been there enough to count the teeth. I think I have only opened up one or 2 ever.

Is the clearance really that critical to not be able to use RV sealer on the case?
