Default Alltrax SR48500 low throttle input underrange

Guys.

Most everything is new on cart.. D&D motor, SW202 switch, SR48500 controller, solenoid all under 8 months old.

Recently had issues going up hills, and motor cutting out. Installed the SW202 as rotary HD F/R was getting hot. This Didn't fix the issue.. now im having trouble on hills, and frequently even starting up at all

Plugged in controller to laptop, and started seeing the Low Throttle input underrange error.. and the shut down code.

Prior to pushing pedal, voltage is showing 37.2... after soleniod clicks, it reads 38.5 in the software. Motor current goes to -10.7.. battery current shows between 0 and -.2 (these readings are when it does not shutdown) most of the time it just shuts down.

Occaisonaly it will work fine for 15 min... Then die on the side of the road.

Cart is an ezgo txt 36v.

Throttle sensor? Easy way to test the sensor?

Other thoughts?

Test the throttle signal per here > http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-testing.html

What is the voltage (at the controller) between the black and white wires going to the ITS sensor with pedal up and pedal down?

With pedal pushed just far enough to make solenoid click, it ought to be 10V and when pedal is on floor it ought to be 6V.

I'm not sure what Alltrax means by low throttle and high throttle, but I suspect high throttle is pedal up and low throttle is pedal down. If so, the low throttle input under range error means there is significantly less than 6V being fed to the throttle input when pedal is on the floor.

---------
If your cart has an in-line connector connecting the gray cable from the pedal box to the wiring harness, it may be the source of the problem.

Guys, maybe a dumb question here but instructions for checking the its say to start at b- and white wire from j4. Says to measure the voltage just after soleniod engages. I'm finding with white wire removed, solenoid is not clicking at all... Plug white back in clicks.

The voltage measurement is made with the white wire connected.

Nothing in the instructions says to disconnect the white wire to make voltage measurement.

SR Control: B- to the small White Wire (usually on J4) with the solenoid just engaged it should be reading about 8-10V and at full throttle 6-5V, if you measure between J4 and J5 you should see 10-12V being output from the controller.

Thanks guys.

Checked this tonight, and also installed a new ITS sensor a friend had.. after changing to new sensor I am still having issues.

When pedal is depressed it goes fine, of you let off and push back down controller shuts down.

Prior to changing ITS I was getting a low throttle underrange code, with new ITS I am getting throttle range error.

Measured B- to white at 7.35 at solenoid click and 5.3 fully depressed. At ITS switch I measured 6.5 at the solenoid click and 4.1 with full throttle

Any guidance on where to go next is appreciate. ITS is new, micro switch is new, solenoid is new, controller and motor is new, reversing contactors is new.. I'm starting to draw blanks on where to look next.

Also across J4 and J5 seems to be right at 6 at solenoid click and 4 fully depressed

Just drove around with the lap top plugged in also,. Went ok for about 5 min.. towards the end of the run, the motor voltage was reading 13v in the software, with pedal fully depressed throttle was under 50%...

I'm leaning controller issue at this point. Can anyone think of something that hasn't been checked?
