Default 2007 precedent constant power issue

My gas powered Precedent wouldn't run and during the trouble shooting process I replaced the Starter/Generator, Solenoid and the battery. Finally got it running but over the weekend the battery wouldn't stay charged and eventually drained to 0 amps and died. I bought a new battery today and when I went to install it, the cables arced pretty badly. When I fully connected the terminals the motor started to turn over. The brake is on, the gas pedal is not suppressed, forward/reverse switch is in neutral and the key is not in the ignition but the motor runs when cables are connected.

For some reason, the system has constant power! Does anyone know how or why the motor is turning over and trying to start?

Do yourself a favor and spend the money on an OEM solenoid. The cheap $20 ones are cheap $20 quality and won't last.

Remove the cables from the solenoid and check for continuity across the big posts.
If there is continuity, replace the solenoid.
If there is No continuity, You may have a bad microswitch or wire damage elsewhere that's causing the solenoid to engage.

What kind of starter generator did you buy?
You're almost always better off to rebuild an original S/G. Aftermarket S/Gs are notoriously problematic.
