Default Is This Piece From My Carb?

Was recently cleaning out the ethanol garbage from my 97 DS and while cleaning the gunk out of it this piece ended up on my bench (pictured). Is this from the carb or from one of my previous projects, lol..Thanks for any input!

Looks like the pin for the float. But if you put it back.together it would be pretty hard to miss that when reassembling

Then its gotta be from something else. Definitely looks like a float pin though :)

Looks an awful lot like the pivot pin for the float.

But if it' not that, maybe a stray needle bearing from a u-joint.
