Default 2013 txt loses power for a second

i have a 2013 48v txt i just purchased and when i hit the throttle sometimes it instantly shuts off (only the motor power). if i take foot off the gas and reapply it will go again. this only happens while accelerating. i can drive miles once full speed without this happening. i was curious if this could be the solenoid in it? the solenoid for sale online has different numbers than the one i have. the solenoid in it is a trombetta 48v 684 4851 022 02. thank you in advance for your input.

Sounds more like a problem with the its then solenoid.
Maybe needs adjustment or is dirty.

When you go to take off do you hear solenoid “click” ?

I’m guessing bad solenoid. Should be a precharge resistor across the main terminals of the solenoid that charge the controller caps. If you try to go and the solenoid doesn’t close correctly it will just use the power in the caps then die. Applying the pedal again will open and close the solenoid with a better connection and off you go.

Would be 470 ohm precharge. If there isn’t one there that’s not your problem

The cart will run with or without the resistor, so it isn't the problem.

However, it not being there does point to the solenoid contacts being burnt and not making good contact every time they close.

The purpose of the resistor is to keep the filter capacitors inside the controller charged so the solenoid's contacts don't arc as much as they bounce to a close.

i replaced the solenoid hoping that would fix the issue but still having issue. most times it works perfect, other times i might have to push and release pedal 5 or 6 times before it will go again. i have never had power loss once i am up to speed. it usually happens right when i hit the pedal or right when i start to accelerate. i took cover off the ITS and seemed clean with tight wires. does this sound like a controller issue or maybe a loose wire somewhere?

Is the solenoid clicking when you hit the go pedal?
