Default 2010 RXV Danaher Controller w/ 20.5" Tires ?

I have a 2010 RXV with the Danaher controller. My cart GPS top speed is 24MPH with nominal 20.6" tires (non-lifted). I have read that the Danaher controller was problematic and others have said it is reliable.

So am I playing Russian roulette every time I turn the key on with that combination?

It looks like the 2010 harness is a little involved to do the Curtis upgrade and expensive. The Navitas plug and play controller looks nice but also costly and lower powered than the reprogrammed Curtis 350 A systems.

I just recently got this cart and don't want to spend more money, but I also don't want to get stranded with a potentially bad controller.

Don't lift your cart and you'll probably be ok. There are a lot of 2010 RXV running around with 20.5" tires. The ones that get in trouble are lifted with 23" tires or speed gears.

Thanks for your reply. I've been following many of the excellent threads where you and Bob Boyce have contributed so much excellent information. In my case, we're using our cart as a neighborhood vehicle on flat and paved desert roads.

I'll breathe a little easier tonight

I have a 2011 with 19” tires. It runs great and has been reliable.

I’ve been running my 2010 on 23” tires with a 3” lift for better than 6 years with no issues- both on the street and pretty legit off-road with serious hills. As a disclaimer it was converted to lithium 5 or so years ago so it is significantly lighter than stock.
