36V EZ GO TXT Reverse ONLY

I have a 2005 EZ GO TXT that has stopped going forward. It will only go in reverse. I have replaced the F&R switch with a new HD version and also replaced on the Controller. Batteries are less than 6 months old. I have check voltages at the Controller, battery, solenoid, etc. When I depress the accelerator (while in Forward) i can hear the solenoid click and I have measure the voltage change from the battery side and controller side. All look ok.

Looking for help...I'm assumption ITS is good as the cart will go in reverse; however i haven't checked that nor do I know how to. Also assuming motor is good based on ability to go in reverse.

Well if it is a series cart, the cart works in reverse and the solenoid clicks, problem is in the fnr. Make sure it is rotating fully into forward and that the puck on the front is snug.

Brand new F&R. Could the inductive throttle work for reverse but not for forward? Cart seems to reverse “faster” than I remember.

Series cart controller only knows go. Direction is determined by fnr. Run micro is working because solenoid is clicking. If it clicks in forward then fnr is the problem.

New development. I’ve was able to rule out F&R, controller, solenoid, and motor. I’m able to get the cart to move in fwd and rev direction. HOWEVER, there is no “touch” to the acceleration. If I push on the accelerator just slightly in fwd to go slow the cart sputters and you can’t control the speed. At max acceleration it seems ok. In reverse the cart goes to full speed as soon as the accelerator is depressed.

Any thoughts?

That sounds like ITS or wiring. Check the 4 pin connector coming from the throttle box.

What should I be looking for at the connector? I’ve opened up the ITS box. Not sure how to troubleshoot.

The ITS was the problem. Replaced it for $23 and now good to go.
