Default Is there a thread for stereo and speaker installs? 2012 precedent

Me and the kids have been riding around with a JBL Flip 4 bluetooth speaker for sound. Sounds pretty good over the gas engine.

I've seen the dashes that come with cutouts for the stereo and 6-1/2 speakers. I think I'll go that route.

I haven't seen any write ups on how to wire everything.

Should I supply power and ground to a fuse block from the battery? I'd like for it to be done nicely.

Take a look through some of my old threads. A lot of input from people. For a couple of my carts.

I would at least put a relay so the cart has to be turned on.. kids seem to have a tendency to leave things on.( at least mine do) .

I just took the power from the contacts that are to go to the brake light relay behind the dash. I do not have a brake light relay so they were not being used but they do go through the key switch as well as through the fuse that protects the lights. You can see on my build thread some of the details about my stereo system. (See link in my signature)

Depends how big of a stereo system you want.
It's no different than wiring a head unit in a car really.
Typically the main power (yellow wire) for your head unit needs to come from the battery. The supply to the key switch can be easily over-powered if you have the main power for the stereo coming through the switch.
The switched On power (red wire) to turn the head unit on can come from the key switch since that is a low power input.

Grounds can be directly to the frame, but make sure your battery ground at the frame is clean and tight. People forget about that one since it's below the battery in a spot where it can't easily be seen, but it likes to rust/corrode down there.

Bluetooth motorcycle speakers. Cheap option and no need to modify the dash or worry about theft. Volume knob is nice. I got mine off Amazon for $70. Does the job. I mounted to the frame of the top. (wires pretty short) Wired to the key so it's only on when cart is running.

Here's what I did to give you some ideas. I am not someone who wants speakers hanging off brackets and Velcro straps so I went with the best model specific enclosure I could find. This system is extremally clear and very loud if you want it to be. The enclosure fits perfectly up against the canopy ribs and is deep enough the amplifier sits inside as well so no other components to mount outside of it. All wiring run up the canopy support so nothing is visible.

enclosure- Froghead enclosures
head unit - Fusion marine MS-UD650
speakers - JL Audio M3 650's with blue LED's
tweeters - JL Audio M100 marine
amplifier - MTX MUD100.2
wiring - Stinger 10ga (power and ground) from battery, 14ga from ignition
