Are you referring to changing out the entire harness completely ? Might be something I want to prepare for.

Yes that way there is no corrosion to worry about in the wiring.

Funny the same thing happened to me. Mine was advertised as a 2014 and was a 2009. Seller offered to take it back, but I ended up keeping it with a discount off the price.
