New Owner // 2013 Precedent // Engine Temp & Cart Usage Question
Hi all, new Club Car owner here trying to learn as much as I can over night.
After 3 weeks of enjoyment, I cleaned my first needle and seat today My question is about how I intend to use my Golf Cart, which will likely be on short trips, less than 2miles (Beach, Grocery Store, Gym, Restaurants, Etc.) Will I do any damage to the engine to drive it for 2 miles (cold), then park it for anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours, then drive it back (cold)? -- I live in FL -- I've been driving around in circles to get the engine up to temperature just to go down the street and it feels like overkill. What do you think??? There's also a few stop signs on the way so I will typically blip the choke to avoid any wear on the starter generator when I first get it running. Am I operating correctly??? Thanks in advance, -Joe |
