2004 Turf 272 pulsing when throttle is pressed

Good day,
Looking for some help with my 272 carryall. After the car is warm, it won't accelerate. It revs a little and drops back down. It is like a pulsing. I have replaced the filter and cleaned the carb. It still does this after it is warm. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. TYIA

Probably the ignition coil is failing. The starter is turning the motor but it's not actually running. When it gets hot and starts doing this, Pull the plug wire off and stick a spare spark plug in the wire and crank the motor and see if it has a constant bright white or blueish spark as the motor is turning over. If it looks dim or yellow or is inconsistent, the coil is bad.

If it still has the rev limiter hooked up try disconnecting that and see if it changes anything. It's the black box on the front of the engine just above the oil drain plug.
Unhook the Brown wire from the bracket and tape it off so it can't ground, that will disable the rev limiter.
If that doesn't change anything then it needs a new ignition coil.
