Problems with shifting in neutral & reverse
I have a 2001 club cadet FE290 D model number AG0105-985288, has a Kawasaki engine and cub rear end. Starts good, runs good in forward, no neutral or reverse. Cable is okay, replaced both micro switches on shifter, Chechen a wiring, but need help.

Re: Problems with shifting in neutral & reverse
What do you mean by no reverse? Does it try to crank over, or does it not do anything?
If you remove the cable from the transmission and manually put the trans lever in reverse, will it run? Neutral it will not run. That’s the way it’s designed. Can you post a picture of the switches on the back of the shift lever? |
